Today was the presentation for the softball medals. Not many of our girls could attend since first of all, we didn't know what time it would be held and secondly, some girls had other commitments. But I managed to snag 6 players, Annie included who accidentally wore her purple slippers :) We were definitely the highlight of the small ceremony which had four boys teams and two other girls teams sparsely represented. A huge cheer went up when our school name was called for first place in the U15 category and again for the second place finish of the U18 team. Then all the other players....well, OK, mostly boys, wanted their picture taken with our girls so about 10 poses later, the cameras stopped flashing. Then they followed our girls around the field while Mark and I were treated in the coach's tent to beehoon and coconut curry balls. For the most part, the girls were loving the attention but were glad to leave quickly when I was finished eating. On to State championship on April 29!
