Jim Wallis delivered the Stanford Baccalaureate Address on June 12, 2004. It's an excellent message about global justice and the responsibility of each individual to do what they can to quell cynicism and to inspire hope. Sometimes when I get crabby and think that government or some social program or someone else should be solving the problems, I remember a line from this speech and personalize it: "I am the one I have been waiting for."
