And the fun continues on....

The kids had to build card houses four levels high for an object lesson I was teaching the other night. So the SkipBo cards, which get used everyday after school, served a dual purpose! Only two teams ended up getting a house three levels high because the cards are so worn out :)
Hari Raya is a big holiday here so to keep the kids busy (and off computers), I planned some water games. Here they have to squish a water balloon by sitting on it.
This is called Soggy Bottoms - they had to put on a wet t-shirt and socks and swim to the other end of the pool before taking it all off and handing it to the next player to put on and do the same. We were supposed to use jeans as well but I couldn't find a two pairs big enough for the boys.
I greased up a watermelon so they could play Greased Pig in the pool. They played hard til the watermelon cracked!

Annie needed help using a physical science program so the boys joined forces with her to create a fulcrum that would move objects on the screen. They had a blast as the difficulty increased with each level they attained.
On our day off, we had the rare privilege of both going to see Kaleb's soccer game. They lost 3-2 to our rivals, Uplands International School, just down the road in Batu Ferringhi. Tim took a crew out kayaking to Rat Island (Pulau Tikus). Just as they were leaving it started to rain but they really didn't mind since they would get wet anyway and the rain made the water calmer.

It did look like a fun day! Do I see a cover over the swimming pool now? You are so creative at keeping the kids busy!

We missed you all at Aunt Betty's party today.
