Amazed

We have been on North American soil a day less one month and we are completely amazed by the generosity of friends and family. People constantly ask what we need or what they can do for us. People have generously given us vehicles to use, another is helping Kaleb with his driver's licence road test and another is paying for our gas. Longtime friends sent a cheque so we would have spending money this summer; others have given us stuff to take back to Malaysia like clothes and shoes and food. Add to that many great memories from all the activities we have been involved in, the verbal encouragement and the warm welcomes we have received. What a blessing to be showered with so much kindness. Thank you to all for what you have done for us.

And we are also going back with a significant amount of funds for our refugee ministry which is thrilling! Many are interested in their plight and have contributed to the charity or bought jewellery. Actually I nearly ran out of jewellery but emailed a friend in Outlook who still has some so hopefully I will have a better selection soon.

We are now at the lake with Kaleb at Dallas Valley Ranch Camp for a week of counseling. Tomorrow we begin the painting - first the ceiling, then the walls and finally the floor. And we are working on cleaning out our store room so Annie will have a bedroom of her own. Poor Kaleb will still be left sleeping on the couch but thankfully he doesn't seem to mind. Its cold again here today so we are in several layers with the heater going. I can't even remember what a 40+ day in Malaysia feels like!!
