Thoughts on a rainy Thursday

* Two weeks ago today, I lost my awesome frameless glasses. Since I take them off all the time and set them down in random places, losing my glasses is a daily occurence. But having not found them for 2 whole weeks is quite disconcerting. Thank goodness I have a few other pairs - one pair with very scratched lenses, another with crooked arms for playing sports and a red pair just for fun! Today I called about getting laser eye surgery done to be rid of glasses forever. I go on Tuesday for the consultation.
* Kaleb asked a lovely young Korean girl to the JSB later this month. The guys have been very, very creative in their 'asks' this year: Prince Charming looking for the girl who fit the glass slipper, a candlelight ice cream dessert on the basketball court, jet skiing around a flotation device filled with balloons, a 12 foot banner hanging at the front of the school, a video in Mandarin by an Canadian student visiting China last week, a song at the airport, flowers, chocolates, cakes and more! The boys only have til Friday at last bell to ask and we still have several girls hoping for a date to the big night :)
* Annie is now registered for high school next with English, Spanish 1, Math, Physical Science, Foundation Art, Values and Decision Making, World Religions and Geography on her calendar of classes. Kaleb needs to register asap for his senior year and is weighing his options.
* In less than two months, we'll be on Canadian soil!!
