Birthday fun

Even though Monday was incredibly busy with several stops for groceries, an orthodontist appt for Tim, making a cheesecake, running softball practice and having a birthday party for Abbie, it was a great day for me! We celebrated as a family on Tuesday, our day off, by going out to Ribs, a lovely, quiet restaurant down in Georgetown. We took Nellie along for the festivities and all enjoyed the awesome food. I was VERY surprised to receive an Ipod Shuffle from Tim - I've been thinking of getting one, mainly for the 13 hour plane ride from HK to Vancouver, but didn't expect him to remember I had mentioned that. I also received a package of fresh black licorice straight from Australia, Japanese cookies, perfume and chocolate. Thanks to everyone who sent thoughts my way via email, facebook and even good ole snail mail :) Thanks for helping me celebrate 'another revolution around the sun' as one friend put it! I am abundantly blessed by the Lord for His never ending goodness and unfailing love. So cool!! A wee tiny green Ipod Shuffle - 12 hours of music for my listening enjoyment :)

My good friend, Nurse Nellie, who makes the best bread on campus.

Kaleb got his mop cut off just before going out for supper and we all think he looks much older now.

Obviously this is a non halal restaurant! Tim ordered this huge plate of pork ribs and managed to eat the whole thing despite having his braces tightened yesterday.
