3:13

The theme of our staff retreat this year was "Becoming a Hebrews 3:13 Community" - a commuity of encouragement as this verses says, "Encourage one another daily, as along as it is called Today so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness". Our director and the planning committee chose to use each session to encourage us through gifts (certificates, books, t-shirts, and more), stand up comedy, videoed testimonies of students, Scripture, music, personalized prayers for each of us and more. It was an amazing time together and really did build a strong sense of community. Each afternoon was free for other activities so we hit the water park the first day and on the second day, Kaleb and Tim went paintballing while I went to the pool and Annie hung out with friends. That evening I went to the sports bar to karaoke with a group of ladies and we had a blast crooning to a bunch of old songs - Stayin' Alive was the biggest hit of the night! The atmosphere of camaraderie and fellowship was so strong no one wanted to go home the next day.

Annie and Kaleb both helped with the children's programming during the main sessions.

Paintballing injuries - and they call this fun??? Kaleb says his dad is the master since he captured the flag twice but was only hit once...in the wallet so he didn't even know :)

Carcazone - the latest game fad that kept the guys up late.

Having fun at the waterpark - since it was the middle of the week, we were the only ones there!

Sounds like a great time of refreshing before all your kids return!
