I'm sure I have the backing of hundreds, if not thousands, of parents out there who are exhausted by the hype of HSM and HSM2. The repetitive commercials on the Disney channel are nauseating and all the excitement over Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens is too over the top for me. However, Disney has certainly captured the tween crowd and if there's anything to be said for the movies, they are definitely clean. HSM2 premiered here in Malaysia on Sunday night and everyone wanted to see (and hear) how cheesy it would be. The acting lacked again but there were a couple of good musical numbers although Zac Efron bursting into song on the golf course made everyone groan. Santi was the only guy to sit through the whole thing - all the other boys left the room every time a song started!! The bad news is that HSM2 encore presentation is on again Saturday and the even worse news is that HSM3 is already in the works.....shoot me now!

Oh, you are too funny! But you are right about the girls loving it. My three granddaughters that are near by love it and they are only 10, 8, and 5! What's with it anyway? Lucky me...I've not watched it!
I liked it- maybe it's just because her Dad and I met as leads in a musical, but it's nice to be able to watch a clean musical with my daughter.
Now if I didn't have to explain the whole Vanessa Hudgens nude pictures that everyone's buzzing about. Good opportunity for a discussion on consequences of poor choices I guess. :)
