Yesterday, our dorm joined dozens of others from Dalat plus several hundred from the community to participate in the fundraiser for St Nicholas Home for the Blind. It was a 2 mile walk with a visually impaired or blind person. Afterwards, we assisted these folks to get free medical check-ups and to enjoy the entertainment that was provided. It was a good learning experience for all of us and a great reminder to be very thankful to the Lord for the gift of sight.
Annie with her new friend, Cindy, who she helped to navigate through the streets.
Kaleb assisting a completely blind woman.
We made it to the finish line by 8:30 a.m.
Waiting in line for the free medical check-ups.
What are we doing sitting in the sun!! It was 95C yesterday! Notice our new Penang t-shirts courtesy of Tourism Malaysia in celebration of Malaysia's 50th anniversary (1957-2007).
We stayed to the bitter end to see if our lucky number would be drawn for a prize and BINGO! We won a two burner gas cooker!! Our friends Scott and Debbie from Jackson dorm won a microwave so the wait was worth it.
McDonald's was the choice for a quick lunch after a hot and sweaty morning.

Wow!! Sounds like you all had a good time!
Shauna, Sorry I've been so bad at answering you. You are such a good blogger too! How did you get the thermometer on your blog?
Sounds and looks like a great day! I also want to know how you got the thermometer on your blog. Please let us in on your secret! I see Annie has it too.
What a great thing to do as a dorm "family". You are teaching all the kids some really good lessons. Who would have thought there would be a Lion's Club in Malaysia.
