Here's Lucy

Today we got some good pictures of Lucy, our monitor lizard. She hadn't shown herself for a while so I thought she had moved on to another drain pipe home. But she's still with us and even stood still long enough for Tim to get some pictures of her in the field. Maybe she's getting used to having us around.

The bottom pictures shows her in relation to the pail. She's skinny but long.

Thanks , Shauna.... another reason to lie awake at night and worry and wonder how you guys are doing. I watched Steve Irwin (the late Steve Irwin I might add) do a show once where he was surrounded by monitors... it freaked me out!!!THANKS SHAUNA...I am praying for snow!!!! Linda Hilderman

For some unknown reason I couldn't open this blog this morning, but now you're back! I'm so glad, I've even glad Lucy is back!

I actually think Lucy is kinda cute in a reptilian kinda way!!! Of course I lived with a lizard for 8 years or so, so they are sort of kindred spirits!! I think Jill's Louie and your Lucy would have made a nice pair!!! So keep us to date about Lucy...one thing I did learn about lizards...they aren't vegetarians!!! The boys are here with me this weekend as Brian is very near the end. Kerri and Darren are both in Saskatoon. We are praying for a peaceful crossing and for God's spirit and love to surround the family during this difficult journey. I will keep you updated. Love to all Mum

We have lizzards in Southern California too. They don't look quite like Lucy but close. I see them running around our place every now and then. I have not been able to befriend any of these little creatures as yet but if I ever do I will name it, "Desi". And, Desi will say, "I love Lucy."
