The rainy season

We have enjoyed the temps of the cooler, rainy season but it also has its disadvantages. One is that the rain drives the ants inside and we continue to battle with them. One of the yard workers sprayed all around our house and some others removed a bunch of weeds around the perimeter. Hopefully that will help this situation a bit. The ants are not necessarily looking for food - in fact, they often pass by crumbs, etc. They are on a mission to go somewhere and whatever is in the way they go right over top of, be it the computer CPU, our headboard, a pillow, whatever. Because we have termites in the walls, we are bound to have ants.

Those who live higher up in apartment buildings don't see many ants at all but those of us right on the ground have an abundance of them (not to mention all sorts of other wildlife!).

The other disadvantage to the cool weather is that it has brought out the flies. So now we are constantly shooing them off our food, our arms, our faces.

The moral of this story is that with every blessing we receive, we also get something else that will try our patience and build our character. In the grand scheme of things, ants and flies are really not worth worrying about.
