The great escape

Today nine ladies piled in one of the school vans and headed across the bridge to the mainland. We escaped the island!! Our first stop was the Mikasa factory. Today a bunch of different patterns were one sale two for one. I bought eight mix-and-match place settings of the holiday patterns: Plaid, Trellis, Berry and Damask. The cost? RM 120 = approx $32 CND. Not bad for over 30 pieces!! Then we hit the large French store, Carrefour, which is like a large Superstore with a food court and small kiosks. Cereal was about two ringgitt cheaper per box so I loaded up on that. The van was packed coming home but no one really seemed to care :)

Tim fared well by himself with the dorm kids in my absence. Most sleep in til at least 10 a.m. anyway and then head out to the mall or hit the study room to do homework.

Tonight we are hosting a bunch of people for the Malaysian TV debut of High School Musical. By the sound of the name, you can tell its mostly girls. The guys have gone to watch English Premier League soccer at another house.

Do I ever like your dishes. And the price is so good.
Loved to have been there.

Are these dishes china or melamac.
I love them. I am looking for a set of melamac just for everyday. Melamac is coming back into stye with so many great patterns.

No these dishes are real china. I looked for them on the Mikasa website but couldn't find this pattern so they've probably been discontinued. I think that's why they are on the sale table at two for one.
