Here's a quick list for you about life in Penang so far:
Something we like: the cheap food, the cheap A/C and the cheap cable
Something different: pushing light switches down for "on" and fluorescent lights that flicker 10 seconds before coming on
Something we are getting used to: looking the other direction before crossing the street and the many different smells on any given stretch of street (some good and some bad, very, very bad!)
Something new: definitely the lizards! :)
