Here are some more pictures - the large banyan tree outside the admin office, the construction behind our dorm and the cafeteria inside the seawall at the beach.
Today was the shopping trip to the large department store on the SE of the island. We bought groceries, some clothes, sandals, household goods and a few other things. A pack of 6 triple A batteries cost $.60 CDN!! Many of the teachers have to outfit their whole apartments with stuff that we had provided like an iron, breadmaker, kettle and rice cooker. Needless to say, the bus was packed coming back to campus.
Tomorrow is a day off to do whatever we want. The power will be out all day due to the new substation on campus being hooked up so, after sleeping in, we're heading to a mall with movie theaters.
Kaleb and Annie are fitting in well. They have made some good friends and come and go from one place to another with this group of kids. And Kaleb believes his prayers have been answered - he's discovered news about a paintball facility down in Kuala Lumpur. You know what his vote for our overnight dorm trip will be!!
We continue to be amazed at how God is working things out for us and how comfortable we feel here so far. We are relying on His provisions daily and are thankful for His abundant supply.
