From last Friday until today, here is a list of things we are thankful for:
* 20 family and friends (plus one dog!) who came to the airport to say good bye
* amazing service on Cathay Pacific with the friendliest flight attendants ever
* no illness while flying and only one minor delay
* all our luggage arrived with us in Penang
* a beautiful dorm home and apartment
* new furniture in the kids' bedrooms
* air conditioning!!!
* great shower in our ensuite
* fresh fruit juice in the morning
* the view of the ocean from our porch
* the hotel next door that allows Dalat staff and students to use its pool
* a prompt and efficient IT guy here at the school who got us online
* Amy, Shama and Raj in the office who know the answer to every question we have
* a thunderstorm tonight that brought relief from the heat
* friends for our kids
Something we all miss:
* close proximity to friends and family
Something we love:
* roti with bananas, chocolate sauce and ice cream - its literally to die for!
Something we have learned:
* dishes must be washed immediately or at least rinsed out so the ants don't walk away with them!!
Somethings we are looking forward to:
* our dorm students arriving on August 6
* school starting on August 8
* parasailing next door the Paradise Sandy hotel
