After spending a night in the Saskatoon hospital with a racing heart, it has been discovered that my nephew needs surgery on his heart to oblate the nerve causing this. Cole is 14, very athletic but, after talking on the phone to him, doesn't seem overly deterred by this problem. He is upset, however, that he may have to miss the traditional grandpa/father/grandson fishing trip in June because of the surgery and that he will miss grading for his brown belt in karate tomorrow because he can't do anything physical until then.
The rest of us, on the other hand, are incredibly thankful to the Lord for doctors who were able to make a diagnosis and get him treatment.

- I'm living a dream on the beach in SE Asia with my best friend, a guy named Tim who I've been married to for 22 years, and our two awesome teenagers. We are dorm parents to 9 other students, better known as Third Culture Kids, who hail from America, Canada, Cambodia, Thailand, England and Australia. We love it here - the sticky humidity, barking geckos, fresh fruit, naan bread, amazing people and breathtaking scenery.
