Day at the lake

I'm aching sore today. We cut down a huge old cottonwood poplar yesterday at the lake to make access to our lot. It took most of the day to cut, haul and dump the logs - we dulled two chainsaw blades in the process. I've never used a chainsaw before but had quite a lot of fun with the smaller electric one as I decided to trim a bunch of other trees that were blocking our view and impeding my potential hammock spot.

We also raked a couple years worth of leaves, cleaned out some cabinets and vacuumed the cobwebs off the ceiling. I have this strong desire to paint the inside before we leave but time is my enemy right now. Tim just shook his head at my suggestion. I'll see if I feel like getting up early tomorrow to go out for the weekend. If not, maybe I could hire someone to paint it for me ... now there's a thought. :)
