The Offer We Couldn't Refuse

It was actually an offer we did refuse!! They started at what we had listed our house for last summer and since we have spent a lot of shekels on the reno, we said no thanks. They countered and we countered and they accepted. When all is said and done, we feel OK about all of this although we now have two months to find something else - April 30 we have to be out.

Its a bit emotionally draining sitting across the table playing mind games with each other. I've never dealt well with confrontation, be it healthy or not, so I tried very hard to overcome the feelings of anxiety and learn from this experience while I was in the midst of it.

Later, our 14 year old had a serious meltdown over the whole issue, even though technically its only a conditional sale, sealed with a handshake at this point. He surprised us by being very sentimental and melancholy over leaving this house. Our 12 year old, on the other hand, is looking forward to a "whole new adventure".

Adventure is really a good word for it.
