Dorm trip to Pangkor

In January, we started planning a long weekend getaway with Jackson dorm for this past weekend as we had Friday off from school for the national Labour Day. We had a few glitches along the way, mostly just last week when a bad flu strain hit the school and over 50 kids were out on Wednesday and Thursday. Two from our dorm were down with it plus two over at Jackson dorm. In the end, our group of 30 became 26 and we piled into two vans on Friday morning. We had a great time staying in five service apartments, taking the ferry out to and playing on the water at Pangkor Island and hanging out together. Annie and her good buddy Evelyne.
The fishing village stop along the way to Pangkor.

David and Elijah are fifth grade friends.

Dorm sisters swinging on the beach.

The jocks waiting for their turn on the banana boat.

Annie slept on the beach most of the time but still managed a good sunburn.

Lunch on the beach with a friend - does it get any better than this?
The waves were great and the water was refreshing.

One night we showed the movie, Princess Bride, on the wall in one of the apartments so we crammed everyone in together. Earlier in the day, we have given the kids digital cameras to make homemade trailers for the movie so we previewed those first. It was absolutely hilarious!!

These five shared an apartment along with me. These girls love being together.
