October stuff

Sorry - its been awhile since I posted. Life is starting to resume some form of normalcy, at least for students, so we are very grateful for that and for everyone's prayers. Anyway, here's a sampling of pics from the activities of the last couple of weeks. Enjoy! Sister and brother all dressed up and ready to go before their choir concert.
Tim has spent four weekends in a row setting up and manning the junior class sales table. This time he's at the Dalat sponsored varsity soccer tournament where our boys got silver and our girls took home gold.
It was a scorching day so the freezies and ice cold pop were big sellers.
Three good looking varsity soccer players.
Girls and cameras - they just love taking tons of pictures of themselves.
We celebrated Sophie's 14th b'day with a party while her parents were visiting.
Our little lounge had 23 people packed into it to help Sophie celebrate.
We were thankful for last minute plans that came together for Canadian Thanksgiving when our first plans fell through. Over 25 of us gathered in a friend's apartment and ate ham (turkey isn't available til closer to American Thanksgiving) and a bunch of other good food we all brought to share.
We discovered Canadian girls are LOUD! At least these girls were, laughing and joking and making lots of noise!
To celebrate the end of the first quarter, we always go to Baskin Robbins for our fill of ice cream. Nothing like a good dose of sugar just before bed!

With our first Saturday of the semester free from junior class responsibilities I took the girls out to the batik factory.

Annie and I were the only ones who had painted before so the others enjoyed it a lot and showed great creativity. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the boys held a computer gaming party in the big lab where they could all link up and battle each other.

For a friend's birthday (I stress the word 'friend' here), Kaleb used the new satay BBQ his dad bought for him to cook his Korean 'friend' a meal. Apparently he thinks we were born yesterday....
