We've been busy!

Pam and Gene in their kayak as we headed out to Rat Island on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Behind us are the remains of a house or temple on the island.
Shopping in Georgetown for some great Malaysian items - I should say that if you are ever in Penang, don't miss stopping by the Asia Company for some great deals on batik and pewter ... and say HI to Johnny who never forgets a face!
This is the view from Pam and Gene's suite on the 23rd floor of Paradise hotel. Chandler dorm is the middle building in the top of the photograph.

The gym is the building with the blue roof.

The ladies took time to have their nails done - what a treat!

This is the Blue Mansion - Cheng Fatt Tze's house in Penang. He was a penniless Chinese immigrant to Indonesia in the mid 1800's and became one of the wealthiest Chinese businessmen in Asia. The house is outstanding and the tour guide was incredibly informative.

We stopped along the way to taste test some chocolate - kiwi, mango, strawberry, dark, bitter, tiramisu....
even durian chocolate which Kaleb said didn't taste too bad (although I still refuse to allow durian fruit inside the dorm...stinks for days afterwards!)

It looks and reads like you're having a really good time. I'm glad they kiyaked (sp) out to the island. I'm envious...I don't think I could do that.
