We are resting well at the lake, sleeping in most days til 9 a.m. It must be the fresh air! We are enjoying campfires, roasted marshmallows, prairie wind, the beauty of the lake and the company of family and friends. Lots of work has happened at the cabin as well - cleaning windows, raking leaves, sweeping cobwebs, going through all our junk. Since one of my strongest values is simplicity in life, we may end up having a yard sale while we are here to get rid of some more stuff. Kids are good and loving the refreshing break. Family Camp is just around the corner and will no doubt be a highlight of our summer.
This is the day the Lord has made - we will be glad and rejoice in it!!

- I'm living a dream on the beach in SE Asia with my best friend, a guy named Tim who I've been married to for 22 years, and our two awesome teenagers. We are dorm parents to 9 other students, better known as Third Culture Kids, who hail from America, Canada, Cambodia, Thailand, England and Australia. We love it here - the sticky humidity, barking geckos, fresh fruit, naan bread, amazing people and breathtaking scenery.
