Michelanglo's in the making

The Fine Arts Exhibit followed the HS Band and Choir concerts this evening. Tim and Bill worked hard to turn our cafeteria into a wonderful exhibit hall with angled walls and overhead lighting focusing on certain pieces. The thoughtfulness and creativity of the students was absolutely amazing and many of us stood in awe at the outstanding gifts God has given to bless us with joy and color.
This is Annie's piece. It's a shaped piece of wire with nylon stretched over it. Then it was painted with acrylic paint which hardens. This piece is entitled "In Honor of My Brother" and is Kaleb's belated birthday present.

Dalat's "Metropolitan Art Gallery"!

These self portraits were done with thumbprints in ink.

A lovely artist and her work. What you can't see is that the jaw is wired shut and string is stuffed into the lightbulb. The name of this artwork? "A String of Thought".

These pieces are layers of color put on top of each other.

This is my favorite wall - I'm trying to track down a student to buy his piece for the dorm lounge.
