...means a lot of fun on the water. Paradise is a beautiful hotel with all sorts of water activities for rent. So to celebrate the end of the year, we went swimming in the pool and then later rented the banana boat and jet skiis for the kids. David also took a turn parasailing as our grad gift to him. It was an absolute riot - I haven't driven a jet ski for a few years now and it was a great rush of adrenalin to be zipping across the top of the waves. Falling off meant the risk of a jellyfish sting so we were all pretty careful not to dump. To end the evening, we enjoyed the BBQ buffet meal - shrimp, prawn, lobster, stingray, chicken satay, peppered beef, salads and desserts galore - at the poolside. The breeze was blowing, the sunset was stunning and the karaoke music was not too loud!! It was an awesome evening :)
Shauna...you are making memories that will remain in the kids minds forever...but most importantly they will never forget you...their other mother!!!for the blessing that you are in their lives.
I'm living a dream on the beach in SE Asia with my best friend, a guy named Tim who I've been married to for 22 years, and our two awesome teenagers. We are dorm parents to 9 other students, better known as Third Culture Kids, who hail from America, Canada, Cambodia, Thailand, England and Australia. We love it here - the sticky humidity, barking geckos, fresh fruit, naan bread, amazing people and breathtaking scenery.
