While Kaleb and his friend, Joel, stayed at Chandler to watch movies and play computer games, Tim, Annie and I headed over to Jaffray dorm to play games and eat munchies with Tim, Vi and Miranda. Eventually, Ryan, Shelley, David, Barbara, Luke and Nellie also joined us after they arrived back in Penang from various holiday destinations.
The fireworks and cannon blasts from Paradise next door were incredibly loud. Around midnight we went out to watch the fireworks display - hundreds of people were on the beach, dancing, singing karaoke and celebrating. We finally came home and crashed into bed around 2 a.m.
Its hard to believe that 2007 is here already. Remember when everybody was in a panic about the turn of the millenium?? If you had of asked me back then what I would be doing now, I never would have guessed I'd be living on an island in SE Asia after 40 years on the Saskatchewan prairies. All of these plans for my life were unknown to me at the time but thankfully God ordained all my days (Ps 139) and not one detail was ever unknown to Him!

Happy New Year! Glad to hear how you celebrated. Sometimes I think we North Americans think we have an edge on celebrating holidays. It's good to know we don't! People are people everywhere. Praise God He is Omnipresent.
