If you are into card games, we recommend a couple that we have enjoyed: Guillotine and Bang!. Both involve death - sorry!! But neither are morbid at all. Guillotine is a card game set in the French Revolution and is really easy to play, has hilarious characters and is loads of fun. Also a card game, Bang! has an old west setting with sheriff, deputies, and different kinds of revolvers.
Last night we also played an involved board game called Acquire, all about building companies, buying stock and merging assets. Its more complicated and time consuming but fun for those who like a good strategy game.

I am going to look for a couple of those games...they sound like fun. The kids played Cranium and the new version 80's version of Trivial Pursuit at Christmas. Last nite at the Epps we played another new game called Catch Phrase...it is great fun to. It is a little disk that you pass around and we were on teams. You select a topic and then describe a choosen word under the topic and describe that word to see if your teammates can get the word or phrase. You don't want to end up with the disk at the end of your turn, so when your teammates guess the right word or phrase you have to pass the disk very quickly before the timer runs out. It was great fun and only one word stumped Jill and in fact the whole crowd. Do you know what Palindrome means?
