Good times

Sorry again for the lack of posting. We've been busy with both dorm and conference activities. Today I went over for the final worship service which was a powerful time of repentance followed by a healing service. The Lord was obviously at work among His people and we are all renewed by this experience. Then this evening, the whole conference crew came to Dalat to enjoy supper on the beach after jet-skiing. Its been so good to connect with others who are called to serve in this part of the world and to establish friendships with those more seasoned than ourselves.

In other news, the traffic situation has become horrendous in the evenings down the main road due to the removal of a traffic circle. The circle certainly wasn't great but it was far better than four directions of traffic or about 12 lanes coming together in the centre of a huge intersection, all trying to get across or turn a corner. I just dropped Annie and Beth off at the mall and did the stop-start thing for blocks trying to get through the congestion. Thank goodness traffic moves slowly! I did give Tim the keys so he could pick the girls up and have this wonderful experience :)

More news: Abbie got her long hair cut off to her shoulders; Kaleb had his first sleepover of the semester last night; Naomi missed two days of school due to a virus; David and Kirsten are in KL at a basketball tournament; Sarah has blisters on her hand from practicing her marital arts. Okay, that's a story in itself. Sarah is Korean and has this amazing outfit complete with a HUGE sword. Her parents teach a form of Korean marital arts and she brings her equipment here to practice out on the basketball court in the evening. So one night, she dons her outfit and takes her sword in its sheath to practice outside. I'm watching TV with a bunch of girls in the dark when Sarah comes in the door later carrying the sword, unsheathed, and, holding up her hands, says, "Aunt Shauna, could you please get me a band-aid?" I scream thinking that she has sliced herself with this sword but actually it was only blisters starting to form. Scared me half to death!!!

Hi Shauna,
I was wondering if you meant martial arts as opposed to marital arts. I figured that's what you meant.
