We have been attending a conference for International workers in the area known as Asian Spice. We've connected with some folks we haven't seen since our days at CBC and are meeting others who I only knew by name through my previous job. It's been a great time of inspiration and challenge from God's Word and of fellowship with those who are serving the Lord in difficult and limited areas. While we have been taking in all the seminars and worship services scheduled during the day, Julia and Val are covering our dorm so we can attend other events when our students are not in school. Its made for a very busy week but the conference is right next door at the hotel so we've been comin back and forth quite a bit and given some tours of the campus as well.
Annie is a pen pal to a girl whose parents are here and they brought with them a package full of great stuff for Annie. We are packing an envelope full of things, too, as its really fun for the girls to give indigenous gifts to one another.

Great for Annie to have a soul sister and to have their spirits connected by the sharing of each others cultures. Sounds like a great conference..and to be able to attend without travelling is a bonus. It must be fun to finally put faces to the names ... all for now.
