Friends forever

Here's how it all began - a pen pal relationship between Annie and Khalie
... who's from Portage, MB
... whose parents are part of the group of missionaries I followed through my previous job and who happen to teach here at Dalat
... who said 'yes' to being Annie's pen pal when I asked and wrote wonderfully descriptive letters of life in Malaysia
... whom Annie decided she wanted to go to school with and therefore, told us in a matter-of- fact manner that is Annie's trademark, that she would be attending school at Dalat in the fall 2006 - two full months before we even knew of or applied for job openings
... who continued to write letters screaming with excitement and intensity about meeting Annie face to face after our placement
... who greeted Annie like an old friend the first time they met
... who introduced Annie to so many others who are now good friends
... who is an absolute delight (as is her whole family)
... who is a part of my 'Chat Room' for middle school girls
