ESLRs

Here's another acronym for you: ESLRs...got any idea what that stands for?? OK, here it is - Expected School-wide Learning Results. Listed on the poster in our dorm hallway are the ESLRs for Dalat. At every combined staff meeting, held once a month, we go over these ESLRs and our School Director has even come up with actions for each one so that we will hopefully remember them more easily. Sorry but I have just recently committed the actual ESLR statements to memory and can't for the life of me remember any of the actions that accompany each one. May be the end of the year, I'll have it down!!

Anyway, these are great characteristics to work towards and they provide a good benchmark not only for the teaching staff but also for us as dorm parents, as we try to shape and mold lives in the day to day routine of life.
