After last night's big event, we are recuperating on our day off. Tim and Kaleb are watching Monday Night football, Annie has a friend over and I'm catching up on days worth of blogging. Its after 11 am and I'm still in my pj's :)
Later, we'll probably go swimming and if traffic isn't too bad, we may head out to Batu Ferringhi to the Butterfly farm. We also need to go over to the Crown Jewel and book a couple of nights for our five day break, which starts on November 2. We've located a great apartment in Langkawi so we'll spend four days, three nights there as well.
Other than that, my day consists of laundry - our house amah was off yesterday and everyone is lacking clean clothes. Lucy is sunning herself by the washing machine but I'll have to disturb her if I'm going to get any laundry done!
This has been a long weekend for us with no school on Monday and Tuesday. Nine of our students left on Friday to spend time with family in Cambodia, Kuala Lumpur and here in Penang. The two remaining students have been quite bored at times so we went to the movies on Friday night, played games on Saturday, went out for lunch and baked cookies on Sunday and then yesterday, enjoyed the Willie Wonka Feast. Today, with our dorm assistant, they'll hit the homework and go shopping for shoes.
Tomorrow - everyone is back at it in full force.

- I'm living a dream on the beach in SE Asia with my best friend, a guy named Tim who I've been married to for 22 years, and our two awesome teenagers. We are dorm parents to 9 other students, better known as Third Culture Kids, who hail from America, Canada, Cambodia, Thailand, England and Australia. We love it here - the sticky humidity, barking geckos, fresh fruit, naan bread, amazing people and breathtaking scenery.

Another exciting MNF - we fell asleep with about 4 minutes to go. I was cheering for the Giants. Sounds like you guys had a nice, relaxing day off. Can't wait to see some of the places you have been telling us about. Tim is certainly learning a lot about the area with all the field trips he is going on.
