Random Tuesday news

* We have received a bunch of emails from friends and family back home in these last few days. Thanks to everyone - it means a lot to us that you would take the time to send your thoughts, Scripture verses of encouragement and updates on your lives. We love it!
* Lucy is regularly sunning herself on the back porch around noon time. No picture today of her but she's getting used to the sound of our voices now.
* Our seniors arrived home from their sneak to Thailand safe and sound although one of our dorm students had an expired visa which meant a hold up at the border. Thankfully they let him through this time but he's scheduled to go home to Cambodia in October so the office is doing the paperwork asap.
* The "bomba" came tonight to remove some hornets' nests from the trees. Bomba is the term we use for fire truck. Unfortunately it was too dark to get good pictures of it - they were supposed to come right after lunch when we could have taken great pictures but got called away to a fire instead. What's up with that!! :)
* My ankle is better and so is Tim's toe. Thanks for everyone's concern.
* Today marks the 60th day we have been here. And it is also exactly 1/3 of the way through the semester for the students. I know....strange trivia!
* According to the calendar that Tim's Uncle Richard put together for all the family, the world's first policewoman was hired on this day in LA in 1910.
