Shoes are very cheap here although they are not great quality. Most of our girls have many, many pairs of flip-flops and other sandals. A lot of them end up out on the steps to the dorm; a bunch more are under their beds. I have threatened to have a huge shoe sale on campus one day since I'm getting tired of tripping over all of them.
So far, the only thing on my feet since I have arrived are my trusty pair of Birkenstocks. I have been told to buy something cheaper to wear during the rainy season, which might be hard on the cork in my Birk's. Maybe I'll break down and buy a fake pair of Birk's at the Tuesday night market to wear in the rain. Just don't tell Chris or Tim at Iannone's - I wouldn't be a very popular customer any more!

This is a unique picture. It reminds me of when I had my Club 56 over for a party. Somehow all the shoes managed to get back to the right feet! I'm sure you find that to be true too.
nice photo....it consists of various variety shoes...looks different
