about a previous post ranting about GF services and why evangelicals don't take long enough to comtemplate our sin and Jesus' suffering. I guess we all don't like looking at things that are ugly and putrid, especially when we've created whatever it is that is ugly and putrid. So we try to hide it, conceal it, pretend that its not there, whatever it may be (greed, jealousy, malice, lust, envy, cowardice, you fill in the blank).
Funny thing though is that God knows about it, sees it, isn't surprised by it and would gladly help us with it. No, in fact, He already did help us with it. We just have to receive the help. Oh yeh, that's where pride comes and most of us have that lurking somewhere in our hearts. Pride is fairly ugly and putrid looking, too, don't you think?
