For a long time, I had a quote from Gandhi on our fridge. I thought about it often and we talked about it as a family. I think what he asserts is fairly profound and I have thought about these statements when making decisions about what to buy, how to live, how to raise our kids. I hope they provide food for thought for you as you think about the life you lead, the choices you make and the example you are.
Gandhi's views on the greatest spiritual perils of our modern time are:
Wealth without Work
Pleasure without Conscience
Science without Humanity
Knowledge without Character
Politics without Principle
Commerce without Morality
Worship without Sacrifice
