We have this great Christian camp, Dallas Valley Ranch Camp, located just outside of Lumsden. Each year, about 1200 kids enjoy horseback riding, swimming (in a pool!), crafts, high and low ropes course, climbing wall, chapel with great speakers, BMX biking, canoeing, archery, pelletry, singing around the campfire and lots more activities. It a great atmosphere with a well trained and highly committed staff. Kaleb has been going for several years but this is Annie's first year to go.
The first day registration is open the camp receives literally hundreds of registrations. You have to mark your first, second and third choices of weeks since the demand is so high. Thankfully, our kids received their confirmation letters yesterday and both got their first choice, July 3-9, which is good news since I'm away for that whole week and Tim is working most of it. Now they just have to make sure the kids they want to room with got the same week.
Thanks to Art, Jackie, Kendra, Glen and Tanis for all they do make one week of camp a life-changing experience for all who attend.
